You Just Never Know

Really bad things happen to valuable, skilled, super intelligent, decent and kind people.

Because I asked a man who is homeless if he wore a certain size clothing and would he be in that same place again on a certain day & time, I was treated to the coolest conversation ever. He talked about military survival skills and then he said something about “superfund”. I about fell out. I literally looked at him in shock. I know my eyes were bugging out and my mouth was open. OMG OMG OMG He started telling me about filtration & separators. I was in heaven.

This man is a scientist. For real. I found his patents and his scientific journal papers online.

I don’t know how he came to be in the position he’s in now, but I’m going to see to it he gets a real coat, some other warm clothing and assorted stuff. It’s too cold to be living outside or in a car.

And the rest of the day went really well.

Found some good stuff at a thrift store…including a pair of sneakers. I can wear boy’s size tennis shoes so I’m lucky to get shoes cheaper that way. 🙂
