Former Randolph puppy mill operator sentenced for perjury
Gloria Marriott has animal cruelty conviction
Gloria Marriott, who was convicted of animal cruelty under the name Linda Snow in 2008, was sentenced to two years in jail at a hearing in Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham on Tuesday.
Marriott, 64, also admitted in court to using another false identity – Mary Howard – when she was charged with animal cruelty in Connecticut in 2011, and to entering the country illegally from Canada in the late 1970s.
According to court documents, Marriott used the birth certificate of a child from Lynn who died in 1952 to create her fake identity as Linda Snow. The alias Mary Howard, which she was using when she was arrested and charged in Connecticut last year, also belonged to a child who had been dead for more than 50 years.
