Heat Suspected In Death Of 80-Year-Old Mo. Man
Talk to your elders. Look out for them where they live and in parking lots.
In cars: a lot of times I see an elder in the passenger seat of a car while the driver has gone in the store or a business. It’s a good idea to make sure they’re OK…listen to see if the engine is running or look at the exhaust pipe and hopefully the AC is on…wave to them and see if they’re alert, if they look asleep just make sure you can see them breathing.
In the home: not everyone has AC or can afford to run their AC or get it fixed or replaced, so there might be an elder neighbor who needs you.
And please look out for pets. They need shade and water at the very least…best they go indoors in AC.
