Army officers review security plan for All-Star Game
This is strange. I thought the DoD wasn’t supposed to concern itself with the sporting and entertainment affairs of citizens. Not even as a consultant or volunteer.
This is regular Army. It’s not the National Guard who might be called upon by the Governor to come help keep order in the event of a citizen group’s call for riot.
Big Brother grasping the pinky finger of the military, gently tugging it in ever so slightly to oversee public entertainment safety concerns.
They’ll just say it was an extra set of eyes and praise it so that the populous will think nothing of it and not see the seepage into their lives…where it should not exist.
The stadium today, Worlds of Fun tomorrow…then the schools, shopping centers, your kids’ soccer game…
Kansas City’s security plan for the All-Star Game this summer is getting a review from the United States Army.
Teachers and students at the University of Foreign Military and Cultural Studies at Fort Leavenworth volunteered to analyze the plan.
They met last week with members of the police and fire departments, along with the FBI, Homeland Security and the Kansas City Royals.
Police say the Army officers confirmed it is a solid security plan and offered some suggestions.
