The threat targeted the Chevron Science Center and the William Pitt Union, according to an emergency alert sent about 1:35 p.m.
Pitt has emptied buildings more than 90 times due to bomb threats since Feb. 13. Authorities have found no explosives.
The Joint Terrorism Task Force, which includes federal, state and local agencies, is investigating the threats.
So, where were the persons of interest at the time of today’s threat? Connecting to the Internets in the courthouse halls or in presence of the grand jury? I hope members of that grand jury are made aware of this new threat.
“A local couple testified in front of a federal grand jury Tuesday as part of an investigating into the recent string of bomb threats at the University of Pittsburgh.”
