Why Didn’t It Work For Jeremy Irwin & Deborah Bradley’s Phones?

Cell phone helps police track armed robbers into KCK

‘The man gave the robbers his iPhone.
Kansas City police used satellite positioning information from the phone to track the suspects as they drove into Kansas City, Kan.’

So where are the Bradley/Irwin phones?
Maybe KCPD will tell the cooperating family members what’s up with the phones and something will get leaked.
I still think KCPD thinks the batteries (and/or SIM cards) might have been pulled is why they were trying to get a read from a small item in a specimen cup with the metal detector the day the KCPD CSI guy was in the yard after the FBI had covered it.

Wondering which is it: Did they find the phones without the batteries in them, without the SIM cards in them or just didn’t find the phones at all?

If they didn’t find the phones at all, I wonder how long it was before they were no longer able to ping the phones and where was the last ping location.

I’m guessing they didn’t do any metal detecting in the direction away from the Irwin home, through Denny’s yard and leading toward the townhomes and Dumpster.

And what happened with the old well the community searchers discovered?

Have metal detectors…will go if transported.
