I read that a lot of people discount the sightings of a man holding a baby in diapers and walking around because the distance between the sightings seems to them to be too far to walk, or they discount it because they have a mind set that everyone has a car and a kidnapper would only use a car to get away, and that nobody would walk around with a baby wearing only a diaper in the chill.
*Didn’t any of these people have to walk places as a kid? Don’t any of these people walk anywhere at all now?
*Near my house, there are homeless people who live in the trail systems along the creek. Some of these guys have bicycles and some walk. The ones who walk do so for miles and at a good clip.
*And I know employed adults with a place to live who don’t own a car for whatever reason.
*Plus, don’t forget about those who’ve had their driver license revoked and abide by the no driving mandate placed on them.
*People who take various street drugs don’t behave rationally.
*People with certain mental illnesses don’t behave rationally.
You just have to take it all into account, be you armchair sleuth or KCMO PD.
