FBI, Fire Department and Police Looking In A Well – Lisa Irwin

FROM a tip: Reporter Lindsay Shively corrected – NOT from a tip. Came from door knocking campaign. Detectives noticed back then the house was abandoned.

Searching near 38th and N Brighton at an abandoned house. Approx. 1/2 mile from Jeremy Irwin’s home.

They have a tripod set up over the well and some firemen are geared up to be lowered down soon.

11:15 CST Fireman lowered into the well.

The well is reported to be 3 feet across and 25 – 30 feet deep.

Firemen taped a rake to a long handle to use down in the well. (to be able to move it through the water I suppose)

Reported: The home’s been abandoned 2 years. The chimney collapsed a while back and the city cleaned that up and cut back some overgrown brush about a month ago.

Fire department has a video snake and laptop monitor set out.

“In response to the television interview, Young said any claim that police were trying to pin the disappearance on the child’s mother “was absolutely not true.”

“We don’t feel any pressure to accuse any body,” Young said. “We are under pressure to do what we can to find a child.”

Then find her and find the bicycle guy. He might be another John Couey.

Water Services has arrived and will suction the well.

– John Peppitone of Fox4 reports

Peppitone reports Sgt. Graves of the KCPD told him the idea to search the well DID come from a tip.
