Shoshana Hebshi, Airline Passenger, Says She Was Strip-Searched Over Her ‘Appearance’
A uniformed female officer eventually came in and told Hebshi to take off her clothes.
After the strip search, another officer who identified herself as a Homeland Security agent led Hebshi to another room, Hebshi said. There, a man who identified himself as an FBI agent asked her a series of questions while a female agent took notes, Hebshi said.
“… airport police “responded appropriately by following protocol and treating everyone involved with respect and dignity. “
Respect and Dignity? Stripped searched, fingerprinted, isolated, interrogated, “allowed” to call her husband…someone needs a dictionary. She made the DHS list for sitting next to some guys who used the bathroom.
Whoever reported the “suspicious activity” … I hope they at least feel like crap. They don’t even understand how being on the list can screw with a person’s ability to get a job or further their education in some instances and it can extend to the person’s family members.
I had one neighbor who I think thought I was Middle Eastern of some variety. She would always make a remark while talking to other neighbors about “ragheads” really loud and then turn her head and look at me. If she still lived here, she would be having a continual heart attack over the Iranian family who moved in the neighborhood.
All in all, best flying advice is to sit next to the most generic, pale skinned, blonde or red headed person and never use the bathroom…or try to spot the Air Marshall and sit by them.
